Employing a mixed-methods design across rural, urban, and peri-urban settings, the research triangulates quantitative outcomes with qualitative insights to understand learning efficacy, employability, and sustainability. The first strand analyzes employability trajectories among rural adult learners participating in digital literacy programs, measuring job attainment, wage progression, and soft-skill development, while controlling for digital access, prior literacy, and local labor demand. The second strand evaluates workplace-based lifelong learning within manufacturing sectors, examining training uptake, competency gains, and transfer-to-work performance, and identifying organizational enablers and barriers. A third strand assesses a peer-mentoring model for urban adult literacy enhancement, evaluating peer dyads, literacy gains, retention, and social capital effects. The mobile-assisted language component investigates barriers to adoption, user engagement patterns, and language proficiency outcomes for adult immigrants, considering mobile usability and support networks. The study further explores how community-based initiatives foster critical thinking through locally contextualized issues, and whether gamified numeracy interventions improve numeracy fluency and long-term numeracy confidence among learners with low literacy.
