Project Abstract

Urban heat islands (UHIs) pose significant challenges to the environmental and social well-being of high-density cities worldwide. In response, the integration of green infrastructure has emerged as a promising strategy to mitigate the adverse effects of UHIs. This research project aims to assess the impact of green infrastructure on the UHI effect in high-density cities, focusing on the effectiveness of various green infrastructure interventions in reducing urban temperatures and enhancing urban resilience. The study begins with a comprehensive literature review to explore the existing knowledge on UHIs, green infrastructure, and their interactions.
