Ten key themes emerged from the literature review, highlighting the various types of herbal medicines commonly used, their reported efficacy, mechanisms of action, safety profiles, and potential interactions with conventional medications. The research methodology section outlines the design of the study, including the selection criteria for herbal medicines to be included, data collection methods, and analysis techniques. The study also discusses ethical considerations, limitations, and the scope of the research. The findings from the study are presented and discussed in Chapter Four, focusing on the efficacy of herbal medicines in managing chronic pain, potential side effects, and patient satisfaction with herbal treatments. The results shed light on the diverse range of herbal medicines available and their varying degrees of effectiveness in pain management. In conclusion, this research project provides valuable insights into the potential therapeutic benefits of herbal medicines in managing chronic pain.
