INDEX SURVEY ON THE 2011-2013 ACADEMIC STAFF UNION OF POLYTECHNIC (ASUP) STRIKE IN NIGERIA

The 2011-2013 strike by the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) in Nigeria had significant implications for the country's educational system and the polytechnic sector in particular. This study aimed to conduct an index survey to assess the impact and underlying factors of the ASUP strike during the specified period. The research utilized a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative data collection through surveys with qualitative insights from interviews and document analysis. The findings of the study revealed that the ASUP strike of 2011-2013 had far-reaching consequences on the polytechnic education sector in Nigeria. The 2013 academic staff union of polytechnics (ASUP) strike was taken upon because the conditions which they expected the federal government to work on so as to enhance teaching in the various polytechnics in the country was over looked and not paid attention to by the government.<br><br><br></p>
