<p> This research project aims to investigate the pivotal role of libraries in promoting information access for people with disabilities. The study will explore the initiatives, services, and resources implemented by libraries to facilitate equitable access to information for individuals with disabilities. By employing a mixed-methods approach, the research seeks to evaluate the effectiveness of these initiatives, identify challenges, and propose strategies for enhancing information access for people with disabilities within library environments. <br></p>

However, despite legal and ethical mandates, people with disabilities continue to encounter barriers in accessing information. This research project seeks to comprehensively explore the role of libraries in addressing these challenges and promoting information access for people with disabilities, aiming to evaluate the effectiveness of library initiatives, identify best practices, and propose strategies for enhancing information access within library environments.</div><div>The introduction of this research provides a contextual background of the study, outlining the significance of investigating the role of libraries in promoting information access for people with disabilities within the contemporary library landscape. By defining key terms and establishing the scope and objectives of the study, the introduction aims to provide a clear framework for the subsequent exploration of library initiatives and their impact on information access for individuals with disabilities.</div><div>Central to this research is the examination of information access for people with disabilities, encompassing an overview of information barriers, legal and ethical considerations, and the specific information needs and challenges faced by individuals with disabilities.</div><div>Moreover, the study aims to explore the initiatives implemented by libraries to promote information access, including assistive technologies and services, accessibility standards and guidelines, and collaborative partnerships and outreach programs. The research also endeavors to evaluate the impact and effectiveness of these initiatives, encompassing user experiences and feedback, challenges and barriers, and best practices and innovations.</div><div>Furthermore, the study aspires to provide insights into strategies for enhancing information access, including training and professional development, policy recommendations, and future directions and innovations.</div><div>By comprehensively exploring the role of libraries in promoting information access for people with disabilities, this research aims to inform and guide library professionals, administrators, and stakeholders in understanding the challenges and opportunities associated with information access initiatives. Ultimately, the study seeks to contribute to the advancement of inclusive practices in library environments and the provision of high-quality, equitable support for individuals with disabilities.</div> <br><p></p>
