Project Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of sustainable livelihood strategies in promoting economic empowerment among rural households, aiming to identify key factors that contribute to poverty alleviation and improve household resilience. Employing a mixed-method approach, the research combines quantitative surveys with qualitative interviews to gather comprehensive data from a representative sample of rural respondents. The quantitative component involves structured questionnaires administered to 300 households across three selected rural communities, focusing on income sources, livelihood diversification, access to financial services, and asset ownership. The qualitative phase includes in-depth interviews with community leaders, local government officials, and livelihood practitioners to explore contextual factors influencing livelihood sustainability and empowerment initiatives. The study adopts a conceptual framework based on the sustainable livelihood approach, emphasizing the interplay of human, social, natural, physical, and financial capital in shaping household economic outcomes.
