Project Abstract

This research project aims to investigate the impact of sustainable farming practices on household income and food security in rural communities. Sustainable farming practices have gained increasing attention due to their potential to address food insecurity and poverty in rural areas. The study will focus on assessing how the adoption of sustainable farming methods influences household income and food security levels in rural communities. The research will be conducted using a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews to gather data from a sample of households practicing sustainable farming methods in rural communities. The quantitative data will be analyzed using statistical techniques to examine the relationship between sustainable farming practices, household income, and food security. The qualitative data from interviews will provide deeper insights into the experiences and perceptions of households regarding sustainable farming practices. The study is guided by the following research objectives to assess the current level of adoption of sustainable farming practices in rural communities, to analyze the effects of sustainable farming practices on household income, to evaluate the impact of sustainable farming practices on food security in rural households, and to identify the challenges and barriers to the adoption of sustainable farming practices in rural areas. The findings of this research will contribute to the existing literature on sustainable farming practices and their impact on household income and food security. The results will provide valuable insights for policymakers, development practitioners, and farmers on the benefits of sustainable farming practices in improving livelihoods and food security in rural communities.
