Project Abstract

Outdoor air pollution is a significant environmental health issue in Nigeria, with major implications for public health. The country is experiencing rapid urbanization and industrialization, leading to increased emissions from various sources such as vehicular traffic, industrial activities, open waste burning, and biomass combustion. These emissions contain a complex mixture of pollutants including particulate matter (PM), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), sulfur dioxide (SO2), carbon monoxide (CO), and volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which can have detrimental effects on human health.
