Project Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between digital literacy and entrepreneurial intention among final-year business education students, while integrating perspectives on ICT-enabled classroom entrepreneurship training, micro-credentialing, blended learning for financial literacy, corporate partnerships and experiential learning, soft skills development, online learning platforms for project-based learning, entrepreneurship ecosystems and university incubation, remote work readiness, and gamification of managerial accounting. The research adopts a mixed-methods design, combining a cross-sectional survey of 500 final-year students from multiple business education programs with in-depth interviews of 40 stakeholders including faculty, internship supervisors, and industry partners. Quantitative data are analyzed using structural equation modeling to test a hypothesized model where digital literacy and ICT competencies influence entrepreneurial attitude, perceived behavioral control, and entrepreneurial intention, with mediating effects of classroom ICT integration, access to micro-credentials, and participation in blended learning modules. Qualitative data are thematically analyzed to elucidate how digital literacy translates into practical entrepreneurial actions, the role of micro-credentials in signaling employability, and the effectiveness of blended and online learning platforms in building financial literacy and project management capabilities. The study also examines the impact of corporate partnerships on experiential learning outcomes and how soft skills development moderates the link between digital proficiency and entrepreneurial propensity. Additionally, the research assesses how participation in university-led incubation and entrepreneurship ecosystems affects startup readiness among graduates, and how preparedness for remote work and digital collaboration moderates the intention to engage in self-employment or venture creation. Findings are expected to reveal (1) a positive and significant association between digital literacy levels and entrepreneurial intention, amplified by robust ICT integration in entrepreneurship training; (2) the reinforcing role of micro-credentialing in enhancing perceived employability and practical entrepreneurial competencies; (3) the effectiveness of blended learning models in improving financial literacy and project-based learning outcomes; (4) the critical contribution of soft skills and experiential learning experiences to startup readiness; and (5) the moderating effects of remote work preparedness and gamified managerial accounting pedagogy on entrepreneurial motivation. The study provides theoretical contributions to digital literacy and entrepreneurship education literature and offers practical implications for curriculum designers, policy-makers, and industry partners to foster entrepreneurial intention and employability among business education graduates in digital economy contexts. Policy recommendations include scalable ICT-enabled training, standardized micro-credential frameworks, immersive blended learning pipelines, and structured internship programs linked to incubation initiatives.

Project Overview

What This Project Is About

A straightforward study exploring how being digitally literate influences a student’s willingness to start or pursue entrepreneurship. It also looks at how ICT tools and online learning affect business education students’ confidence and plans to create their own ventures.

The Problem It Addresses

Objectives of the Project

  1. Assess current levels of digital skills and entrepreneurial interest among final-year business education students.
  2. Explore how ICT use in the classroom affects attitudes toward starting a business.
  3. Identify gaps in digital training that might hinder entrepreneurial plans.
  4. Propose practical steps to strengthen digital literacy and entrepreneurial readiness in the curriculum.

What You Will Do Step by Step

1. Review simple literature on digital literacy and entrepreneurship for context. 2. Design a short survey and interview guide suitable for undergraduates. 3. Collect data from peers and analyze patterns, focusing on digitalskills and entrepreneurial intent. 4. Look at ICT tools used in class and their perceived usefulness. 5. Draft recommendations for teaching methods and resources that boost both digital skills and entrepreneurial motivation.

Expected Outcome

Clear findings on how digital literacy and ICT-integrated learning relate to students’ plans to start businesses, plus practical improvements for curricula to foster entrepreneurship and digital competence.
