Project Abstract

<p> </p><p>This project topic of mine was derived after many research in many libraries and also consulting of people who are legend in this specialization, which had helped me in computing this project.</p><p>The effects of computer application in the modern world has helped in making this work easier and neither for workers, it has bring a tremendous development in the entire world, and has given insight into what banking sector is all about, its guiding principles and the environment within which banking sector operate.</p><p>It has also helped in broaden the mind of the researchers by passing information and analyzing complex problem that computer specialist in banks can face in the course of banking activities.</p> <br><p></p>

During the middles of the twenties century, there was a proliferation of various capabilities and sizes in almost all the aspects of human endeavor. One might be very correct to say that Computer application has been specifically useful in the banking industry. The machine called computer came as a necessity and also as a child of circumstance. During the mid nineties, the volume of work and information handled in the banking sector grow very rapidly and that made work very painstaking and prone to many blunders. It is an open secret that the computer has taken care of this problem that was perceived as a perennial problem before the advent of computers.</p><p>1.2 &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM</p><p>Before the era of modern banking, banking was a very crude exercise because of the level of civilization that was obtainable at that time. During the ancient banking period only a few, was really interested in banking it became difficult for bankers to adequately work without getting bored and making mistakes. This problem a computer doesn’t have ever by definition. One may ask what a computer is, though computer has been defined in various ways but simply put a computer is an electronic diverse that can accept data, process and analyze and give out put at a very fast rate without making mistakes. The application of computer became very important because is associated with. Most works that used to take a very long time now take very short time. The most amazing thing is the accuracy of the result.</p><p>1.3 &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;PROPOSE/OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY</p><p>The purpose of this study is to highlight the effects of computer application in the banking sector. This aims at finding both the posit and negative aspects of computer application in the banking industry. At the end of this research work, it is expected that one should be able to know the various ways through which the computer has turned our world around banking wise. It is also very expected that the history of the application of computer to the banking sector should be addressed in the scope of this work.</p><p>1.4 &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY</p><p>This significance of this research work cannot be overemphasized. In modern banking, computer application is very important. This importance is what I seek to highlight. The findings of this research might be very useful in assessing the various implications of computer application in the banking industry with a view of improvement for better standards.</p><p>Furthermore, the finding might be used to ascertain the level and rate of development in modern banking computerized. Apart from this proper analysis of this research might be used up to some degree of accuracy for some predictions.</p><p>1.5 &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;LIMITATIONS OF THIS STUDY</p><p>Unfortunately this work does not cover correctly what might be obtainable everywhere in the world. This is one of the limitations of this study. The research was however mainly restricted to findings and research work done at the eastern part of the country.</p> <br><p></p>
