Project Abstract

<p> This research project aims to analyze the role of agricultural extension in promoting sustainable pest management practices among farmers. Pest management is a critical aspect of agricultural production, as pests can cause significant crop losses and impact food security. Sustainable pest management practices focus on minimizing the use of chemical pesticides and adopting integrated pest management (IPM) strategies that are environmentally friendly and economically viable. This study will examine the effectiveness of agricultural extension services in disseminating knowledge and promoting the adoption of sustainable pest management practices. It will employ a combination of surveys, interviews, and field observations to gather data from farmers, extension agents, and relevant stakeholders. The findings will contribute to understanding the role of agricultural extension in sustainable pest management and provide recommendations for enhancing extension services in this area. <br></p>
