Project Abstract

Osteoarthritis is a common degenerative joint disease affecting dogs, leading to pain, stiffness, and decreased mobility. Traditional treatment options often provide limited relief and may have adverse effects. Stem cell therapy has emerged as a promising alternative for managing osteoarthritis by promoting tissue regeneration and reducing inflammation. This research project aims to investigate the effectiveness of stem cell therapy in treating osteoarthritis in dogs. The study will begin with a comprehensive review of existing literature on osteoarthritis in dogs and the current treatment modalities available. The literature review will explore the mechanisms of action of stem cells in promoting tissue repair and reducing inflammation, providing a theoretical foundation for the research. The research methodology will involve a randomized controlled trial with a sample of dogs diagnosed with osteoarthritis. Dogs will be randomly assigned to receive either stem cell therapy or a control treatment, and their progress will be monitored over a specified period.
