Citizen Engagement and Participatory Governance in Local Government

Project Abstract

This project aims to explore the critical role of citizen engagement and participatory governance in strengthening local government and enhancing the delivery of public services. Effective citizen participation in decision-making processes is a cornerstone of a vibrant and responsive democratic system, yet many local governments continue to struggle with fostering meaningful engagement and incorporating citizen input into policy decisions.
