Project Abstract
The aim of this research project was to investigate the effects of different exercise intensities on cardiovascular function in young adults. The study was designed to explore how varying levels of physical activity impact key cardiovascular parameters such as heart rate, blood pressure, and cardiac output. A total of 50 young adults aged 18-25 years participated in the study, which was conducted over a period of 12 weeks. The participants were divided into three groups based on exercise intensity levels low intensity, moderate intensity, and high intensity. Chapter 1 provides an introduction to the research topic, including the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the research, and definition of key terms. Chapter 2 presents a comprehensive literature review covering 10 key studies related to exercise intensity and cardiovascular function in young adults. Chapter 3 outlines the research methodology, including details on participant recruitment, exercise protocols, data collection methods, and statistical analysis procedures. The findings of the study, discussed in Chapter 4, revealed significant differences in cardiovascular function among the three exercise intensity groups. Participants in the high-intensity group demonstrated the greatest improvements in cardiovascular parameters, including lower resting heart rate, reduced blood pressure, and increased cardiac output. These results suggest that higher intensity exercise may have a more pronounced effect on cardiovascular function in young adults compared to lower intensity exercise. In conclusion, the research project provides valuable insights into the relationship between exercise intensity and cardiovascular function in young adults. The study highlights the importance of incorporating varying levels of physical activity into daily routines to promote optimal cardiovascular health. The findings contribute to the existing body of knowledge on exercise physiology and may have implications for designing targeted exercise programs to improve cardiovascular function in young adults. Further research is warranted to explore the long-term effects of different exercise intensities on cardiovascular health across different age groups and populations.
