Effectiveness of Telemedicine in Improving Access to Pediatric Care in Underserved Communities

Project Abstract

Telemedicine has emerged as a promising solution to improve access to healthcare services in underserved communities, particularly in the field of pediatrics. This research study aims to investigate the effectiveness of telemedicine in enhancing access to pediatric care in underserved communities. The study will explore the potential benefits and challenges associated with implementing telemedicine in these communities, with a focus on improving healthcare outcomes for children. The research will begin with a comprehensive review of the existing literature on telemedicine in pediatric care and its impact on underserved populations. This literature review will provide a theoretical foundation for the study and highlight key findings from previous research studies in this area. The methodology for this research will involve a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative data collection methods. Quantitative data will be collected through surveys and statistical analysis to measure the impact of telemedicine on access to pediatric care in underserved communities. Qualitative data will be gathered through interviews and focus groups with healthcare providers, caregivers, and community members to gain a deeper understanding of their experiences with telemedicine.
