Assessment of the Impact of Telemedicine on Pediatric Care and Patient Outcomes

Project Abstract

Telemedicine, the remote delivery of healthcare services using technology, has rapidly grown in popularity and importance in recent years. This research project aims to assess the impact of telemedicine on pediatric care and patient outcomes. The study will investigate how telemedicine is being utilized in pediatric settings, the benefits it offers to healthcare providers and patients, as well as the potential challenges and limitations associated with its implementation. The research will begin with a comprehensive review of the existing literature on telemedicine in pediatric care, examining studies that have explored its effectiveness, cost-efficiency, patient satisfaction, and overall impact on healthcare delivery. By synthesizing this body of knowledge, the study aims to identify trends, best practices, and areas for further research within the field of pediatric telemedicine. Methodologically, this project will employ both quantitative and qualitative research methods. Surveys and interviews will be conducted with healthcare providers, caregivers, and pediatric patients to gather data on their experiences with telemedicine. Additionally, quantitative analysis of patient outcomes and healthcare utilization data will be undertaken to assess the impact of telemedicine on pediatric care delivery.
