This research project explores the intricate relationship between environmental pollution and moral pollution as depicted in Kaine Agary's novel "Yellow-Yellow." The study delves into how the degradation of the physical environment in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria mirrors the decay of moral values and ethical standards among the characters in the novel. By analyzing the interconnectedness of environmental degradation and moral corruption, the research aims to shed light on the detrimental effects of pollution on both the natural world and human behavior. Through a close reading of "Yellow-Yellow," the research examines how the oil industry's exploitation of the Niger Delta's resources leads to environmental devastation, which in turn contributes to the moral decay of the characters.
