The small-scale dye industry in kaduna state problems and prospects

<p> THE SMALL SCALE DYE INDUSTRY IN<br>KADUNA STATE PROBLEMS AND PROSPECTS<br>This study sought to investigate the operation system of<br>some small-scale textile dyeing industries in Kaduna State.<br>This social enquiry investigated the nature of the industries<br>and sources of raw materials. It also sought to know the<br>significance of the industry to the people of Kaduna State and<br>the nation as a whole. The study also has social-economic<br>educational and cultural significance. It would set the blue<br>prints for the industrial development of Kaduna State. It<br>would also encourage self employment, preservation of cultural<br>heritage, indigenous skills and investment, utilisation of<br>local resources and contribution to the literature in this<br>subject.<br>A review of literature was done to show the contributions<br>made by some old masters. The study also looked into the<br>problems and prospects of small-scale textile dyeing industry<br>in the state.<br>At the end of the research it was observed that there<br>were some factors that contributed to the setback of smallscale<br>textile dyeing industry in Kaduna State. Suggestions<br>were made for improvement. <br></p>
