Project Abstract

High-intensity interval training (HIIT) has gained popularity in recent years as an effective and time-efficient exercise strategy to improve cardiovascular health. This research study aimed to investigate the impact of HIIT on cardiovascular health in sedentary adults. The study involved a sample of sedentary adults aged between 25-50 years who participated in a 12-week HIIT program. Various cardiovascular health parameters, including heart rate, blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and aerobic capacity, were measured before and after the intervention. The findings of the study revealed significant improvements in cardiovascular health among sedentary adults who engaged in HIIT. Participants showed a decrease in resting heart rate, blood pressure, and cholesterol levels, as well as an increase in aerobic capacity. These improvements were observed even with a relatively short duration of HIIT sessions, highlighting the efficacy of this exercise modality in improving cardiovascular health.
