Implementation of Sustainable Practices in Property Management

Project Abstract

This research project investigates the implementation of sustainable practices in property management, aiming to address the growing importance of sustainability in the real estate sector. The study explores the background, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure, and key definitions related to sustainable practices in property management. In Chapter Two, a comprehensive literature review examines ten key areas related to sustainability in property management, including energy efficiency, waste management, green building certifications, and tenant engagement. Chapter Three outlines the research methodology, including the research design, data collection methods, sampling techniques, data analysis procedures, and ethical considerations. The research adopts a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative interviews with property managers and quantitative surveys with tenants to provide a holistic understanding of sustainable practices in property management. Chapter Four presents the discussion of findings based on the research data, highlighting seven key themes identified during the study. These themes include the challenges faced in implementing sustainable practices, the benefits of sustainability for property owners and tenants, the role of regulations and incentives, and the potential barriers to achieving sustainable property management.
