Project Abstract

Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is an effective and environmentally friendly approach to controlling pests that causes less harm to human health and the environment than traditional pesticide use. This project examines the principles and practices of IPM and evaluates its potential to reduce pesticide use in agricultural systems. Through a review of existing literature and case studies, the costs and benefits of transitioning to IPM are analyzed. Recommendations are provided for policies and programs that can promote wider adoption of IPM among farmers. With reduced pesticide pollution and healthier soils, a transition to IPM has the potential to make agriculture more sustainable.
