Assessment of the Effectiveness of Wetland Restoration in Improving Biodiversity and Water Quality

Project Abstract

Wetlands are vital ecosystems that support a diverse range of plant and animal species while providing essential ecosystem services, such as water purification and flood control. However, these ecosystems are under threat from human activities, leading to degradation and loss of biodiversity. Wetland restoration has emerged as a key strategy to address these challenges and improve ecosystem health. This research project aims to assess the effectiveness of wetland restoration in improving biodiversity and water quality. Through a comprehensive literature review, the study examines the current state of wetlands, the drivers of degradation, and the benefits of wetland restoration. The research methodology involves field assessments of restored wetlands, including biodiversity surveys and water quality analysis.
