Project Abstract

<p> With the rapid growth in the rate of acquisition of Three Phase Motor both for home, office or business uses, there is need to consider the type of motor that is needed and acquired for various uses or purpose. This project explain how individual, organization can assemble a complete motor, emphasis is based on the construction of 3hp three phases motor. <br></p>

<p> </p><p><strong>1.0 &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; INTRODUCTION</strong></p><p><strong>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; THREE PHASE MOTOR</strong></p><p>Three phase motor is a type of motor that varies from fractional horse power to 10 horse power. It is usually used in residential and commercial applications. There is only phase current? All motor poles alternate at the same time like the situation in a three – phase motor. To produce starting tongue and to ensurers can be used to determine when someone has moved in or out of the conference hall (for instance). The light sensing type involves monitoring the unit with photon or optical devices; this consists of the encoder (transmission path or the source of energy) and the decoder (receiver unit that converts the light intensity to electrical signal). This project report creates a greater picture of the industrial batch counter.</p><ul><li><strong><em>THE AIM AND OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECTThe aim of this project is to demonstrate a smart device that counts the number of people inside a conference hall; and prevents people from entering once the room has reached its capacity.</em></strong></li></ul><p>that the rotor always starts up in the same direction, most three phase motors have an external set of windings called starting winding (Auxiliary winding) arranged at an angle to the main set – phase shifted current is through then.</p><p>It produces poles before of after the poles produced in the main winding and tarns the rotor in one direction.</p><p><strong>1.1</strong>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;<strong>AIMS AND OBJECTIVE</strong></p><p>The objective of this project is to assemble a complete 3hp (three horse power) three phase motor, the aim is as follows:</p><ol><li>To identify the major part of a three phase motor.</li></ol><ol><li>To interpret the winding diagram.</li></ol><ol><li>To appreciate the importance of the topic, and relegate it to the actual application.</li></ol><p><strong>1.2. &nbsp; &nbsp; AREAS OF APPLICATION</strong></p><p><strong>i.</strong>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Washing machine.</p><p><strong>ii. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; </strong>lathe machine.</p><p><strong>iii. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</strong>Electric fans.</p><p><strong>iv</strong>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; conveyor.</p><p><strong>v &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</strong>mixer.</p> <br><p></p>
