Project Abstract

This research project focuses on conducting an appraisal of the activities and management methods of the Anammco Workers Multi-Purpose Co-operative Society. The aim of this study is to analyze the operations of the co-operative society, evaluate its performance, and assess the effectiveness of its management practices. The Anammco Workers Multi-Purpose Co-operative Society is a cooperative society established by the employees of Anambra Motor Manufacturing Company (ANAMMCO) in Nigeria. The research will employ both qualitative and quantitative research methods to collect and analyze data. Primary data will be gathered through interviews with members of the co-operative society, including the management team and general members. Questionnaires will also be distributed to gather information on various aspects of the co-operative's activities and management methods. Secondary data will be obtained from existing literature, reports, and documents related to cooperative societies and management practices. The findings of this research will provide insights into the activities and management methods of the Anammco Workers Multi-Purpose Co-operative Society. It will assess the financial performance of the co-operative, its governance structure, decision-making processes, and overall management effectiveness. The research will also evaluate the level of member participation, satisfaction, and engagement in the co-operative's activities. By conducting this appraisal, the research aims to identify areas of strength and weakness within the co-operative society. <p> <strong>1.0 INTRODUCTION<br>1.1 GENERAL INTRODUCTION</strong><br>The population of this study is limited to the worker’s of ANAMMCO who come together of their own free will to form the ANAMMCO worker’s multipurpose co-operative society Ltd. This is made up of people who voluntarily associated together as human beings on the basis of equality, for their social-economic interest.<br>Anammco worker’s multipurpose co-operative society limited has become co-operative that co-operation as a corrective measure to capitalism, has an ideological base that is rooted on democracy, caring and sharing.<br>The society was formed in August 11 1987 and was incorporated in 25 March 1988, with total membership of 415. Activities of the society include: granting of loans to members, establishment of staff shop to sell commodities.<br>Presently, Anammco worker’s multi-purpose co-operative society has about 748 members, among them are 70 females and 678 males.<br>Anammco worker’s multipurpose co-operative society ltd has about N55,000,000 value In this case most of these essential components of the air conditioner which seems to be very delicate, need not be handled carelessly, when it developed any fault and again, it should not be handled by non-exports in the field of air conditioning and refrigeration.<br>The last group that handled the project are classified as non-exports in the field of air conditioning. This under sized compressor has low pumping action, 6to the air conditioning set. Because the capillaries for the two horse power compressor for the bigger than that of 1.5 horse power air conditioning set.<br>Again the volume of air conditioning gas being pumped was too negligible to bring about the desired cooling.<br>The capacitors which was bad that is not good at all.<br>The drier which was blocked up by impurities was changed and replaced with a new one. As a result, its caused by poor cycling of refrigerant through. The copper capillary of the air conditioner which we repaired by replacing the drier with a new one. Through we can still be in a good condition. of their Assets and N25,000,000 value of liabilities.<br>Co-operative as social economic society have their record books which they use to record all the financial transactions and the event in the society.
