Project Abstract

This research project focused on assessing the ICT competencies possessed by Polytechnic Office Technology and Management lecturers. The study aimed to evaluate the level of ICT skills and knowledge among lecturers in this field to determine their readiness to effectively integrate technology into their teaching practices. A mixed-methods approach was employed to gather data, including surveys and interviews conducted with a sample of lecturers from various Polytechnics. The findings revealed varying levels of ICT competencies among the lecturers, with some demonstrating advanced skills while others showed a need for further training and support. The study highlighted the importance of continuous professional development in ICT for lecturers to keep pace with technological advancements and enhance their teaching effectiveness. Recommendations were made for the implementation of training programs and support systems to improve the ICT competencies of Polytechnic Office Technology and Management lecturers, ultimately benefiting both the educators and the students they serve.
