This progressive disease, characterized by the destruction of the supporting tissues surrounding the teeth, can lead to tooth loss and a range of systemic health complications if left untreated. Traditional periodontal therapies, such as scaling and root planing, have long been the standard of care. However, the emergence of laser-assisted periodontal therapy (LAPT) has introduced a novel and potentially more effective approach to managing this condition.
