Project Abstract

Tele-dentistry has emerged as a promising solution to address the disparities in access to dental care for underserved populations. This research project aims to assess the effectiveness of tele-dentistry in providing dental care to underserved populations. The study will investigate the impact of tele-dentistry on improving access to dental services, enhancing the quality of care provided, and increasing patient satisfaction among underserved communities. The research will be conducted using a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative data analysis with qualitative assessments to provide a comprehensive evaluation of tele-dentistry services. A systematic literature review will be conducted to explore the existing evidence on the effectiveness of tele-dentistry in delivering dental care to underserved populations. The methodology will involve collecting data from both dental providers and patients who have experienced tele-dentistry services. Surveys and interviews will be used to gather information on the perceived benefits, challenges, and overall satisfaction with tele-dentistry. Additionally, quantitative data on the number of patients served, types of services provided, and outcomes of treatment will be analyzed to assess the impact of tele-dentistry on improving access to dental care.
