Assessment of the effectiveness of tele-dentistry in improving access to dental care in underserved communities

Project Abstract

This research study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of tele-dentistry in enhancing access to dental care for underserved communities. The utilization of tele-dentistry, which involves the use of telecommunication technologies to provide dental services remotely, has the potential to address the disparities in dental care access faced by vulnerable populations. The study will investigate the impact of tele-dentistry on improving the availability and quality of dental services, as well as its potential to enhance oral health outcomes in underserved communities. The research will be conducted through a comprehensive literature review to examine the existing evidence on the use of tele-dentistry in dental care delivery. This review will encompass studies on the effectiveness, benefits, challenges, and best practices associated with tele-dentistry in various settings.
