Assessment of the Effectiveness of Dental Sealants in Preventing Dental Caries in Children

Project Abstract

Dental caries is a prevalent oral health issue affecting children worldwide. Among the preventive measures available, dental sealants have emerged as a promising intervention to reduce the incidence of caries in children. This research project aims to assess the effectiveness of dental sealants in preventing dental caries in children through a comprehensive investigation of existing literature, research methodology, and analysis of findings. The study begins with a thorough review of the literature on dental sealants, caries prevention strategies, and their impact on pediatric oral health. This literature review will provide a foundation for understanding the current state of knowledge in the field and highlight gaps that this research seeks to address.
