Project Abstract

<p> This project aims to investigate the regulatory role of plant hormones in controlling various aspects of crop growth and development. Plant hormones, also known as phytohormones, play crucial roles in processes such as seed germination, root and shoot growth, flowering, fruit development, and stress responses. The project will focus on the major classes of plant hormones, including auxins, cytokinins, gibberellins, abscisic acid, ethylene, and brassinosteroids, and their interactions in coordinating physiological and developmental processes in crops. Through physiological, molecular, and genetic approaches, the project will elucidate the mechanisms by which plant hormones influence crop traits and responses to environmental cues. The findings of this study will contribute to our understanding of the fundamental principles underlying plant hormone regulation in crop species. <br></p>
