Project Abstract

<p> This project aims to analyze the impact of soil salinity on crop productivity and to identify strategies for mitigating the negative effects of salinity stress on crops. Soil salinity, caused by the accumulation of soluble salts, can significantly reduce crop growth, yield, and quality. The project will investigate the physiological, biochemical, and molecular responses of crops to salinity stress, focusing on mechanisms such as ion toxicity, osmotic stress, and oxidative damage. Additionally, the project will evaluate the effectiveness of various management practices, including soil amendments, irrigation strategies, and crop selection, in alleviating the detrimental effects of soil salinity on crop performance.
