Examining co-workers attitude towards ex-convicts

Project Abstract

This research project aims to investigate co-workers' attitudes towards ex-convicts in the workplace. The study will delve into the perceptions, biases, and behaviors exhibited by employees when working alongside individuals with prior criminal records. The research will explore the factors that influence co-workers' attitudes, such as past experiences, societal stereotypes, organizational policies, and personal beliefs. The research will utilize a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews to gather comprehensive data. The survey will assess co-workers' general attitudes towards ex-convicts, including their willingness to interact, collaborate, and trust individuals with criminal histories. Additionally, the survey will examine the impact of various demographic variables, such as age, gender, education, and job position, on co-workers' attitudes. In parallel, qualitative interviews will be conducted with a subset of employees to gain deeper insights into the underlying reasons behind their attitudes towards ex-convicts.
