Project Abstract

Print Media which is designed to calculate newspaper to various states and locations. It displays quantity allocated, amount distributed and quantity not allocated.

The system is not only designed to be automated and efficient but to solve all problems related to automation of distribution system.

Project Overview

1.1 INTRODUCTION

Printing and publishing of print media requires a lot of computer processes before the Newspapers, magazines or Journal is produced. These processes include gathering of News items, typesetting, filming, plating, printing and distribution.

The advent of computer blew a breaze of change across some section of this profession, thereby alleviating the cumbersome procedures.

Among those area affected by this wind of change are Account department typesetting section and printing department circulation department. The tedious works in this department has been greatly eliminated.

1.2 AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

This project is aimed at solving the problem of circulation and distribution of newspaper to customers within state and outside states. The main objectives is to develop an automated circulation system, that will help the company to refries necessary information about a particular customer and state within a few seconds without stress, its computerized will:

· Reduce time, labour and cost since by the virtue of this system information handling and processing will be more effective.

· Produce more timely, accurate and less tedious work.

· Reduce the problem of voluminous and lactic file handling.

· Produce easy information retrieval and storage on regular basis.

1.3 SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

This study is primarily aimed at Automated Printed media circulation system used in the Guardian Newspaper it will help in promoting efficient and accurate distribution. It will also boast the sales of the Newspaper.
