This research project aims to investigate the influence of social media on language evolution, specifically focusing on how the digital environment shapes linguistic practices and patterns over time. Through a comprehensive analysis of various social media platforms and their impact on language usage, this study seeks to uncover the mechanisms through which social media influences language evolution. Chapter 1 provides an introduction to the research topic, presenting the background of the study, defining the problem statement, outlining the objectives, discussing the limitations and scope of the study, highlighting the significance of the research, and presenting the structure of the research along with the definition of key terms. Chapter 2 comprises a detailed literature review that explores existing research on the relationship between social media and language evolution. This chapter will analyze ten key studies and theories related to the topic, providing a comprehensive overview of the current state of knowledge in this area. Chapter 3 focuses on the research methodology employed in this study, detailing the research design, data collection methods, sampling techniques, data analysis procedures, and ethical considerations.
