Project Abstract

Urbanization has led to increased impervious surfaces, resulting in higher volumes of stormwater runoff and reduced infiltration capacity, leading to urban flooding and water quality degradation. To address these challenges, this research project focuses on the design and analysis of a sustainable stormwater management system for urban areas. The study begins with a comprehensive review of existing literature on stormwater management practices, urban hydrology, and sustainable urban design principles. This literature review highlights the significance of implementing sustainable stormwater management systems to mitigate the adverse impacts of urbanization on the hydrological cycle and water quality.
