Project Abstract

<p> This project aims to investigate the role of mycorrhizal fungi in plant nutrient uptake. Mycorrhizal associations, formed between plant roots and certain fungi, are known to enhance nutrient acquisition by plants, particularly phosphorus. The project will focus on studying the mechanisms by which mycorrhizal fungi facilitate nutrient uptake, including nutrient transfer pathways and the impact on plant growth and development. Through a combination of greenhouse experiments, microscopy analysis, and nutrient analysis, the project aims to provide a better understanding of the importance of mycorrhizal associations in plant nutrition and their potential applications in sustainable agriculture. <br></p>
