Investigating the use of concept mapping in teaching biological classification.

Project Abstract

<p> This research project aims to investigate the effectiveness of concept mapping as a teaching tool in the context of biological classification. Concept mapping is a visual representation technique that helps students organize and connect information, making it an ideal tool for teaching complex topics such as biological classification. The study will involve a sample of high school biology students who will be divided into two groups one group will receive traditional instruction, while the other group will be taught using concept mapping. The students' understanding of biological classification will be assessed through pre- and post-tests, as well as qualitative measures such as interviews and observations. The findings of this study will contribute to our understanding of the potential benefits of concept mapping in biology education. <br></p>
