Exploring the use of storytelling in teaching ecological concepts.

Project Abstract

<p> This project aims to explore the use of storytelling as a pedagogical tool in teaching ecological concepts to middle school students. Storytelling has been recognized as an effective instructional strategy that can enhance student engagement, comprehension, and retention of scientific concepts. However, limited research has focused specifically on the use of storytelling in the context of ecology education. This study will employ a qualitative research design, utilizing classroom observations, student interviews, and analysis of student work, to investigate how storytelling can be integrated into ecology lessons and its impact on student learning outcomes. The findings will contribute to a deeper understanding of the potential benefits and challenges of using storytelling in ecology education and provide practical recommendations for educators <br></p>
