Project Abstract

<p> This research project aims to explore the impact of outdoor fieldwork on student attitudes towards biology. Outdoor fieldwork provides students with opportunities to engage in authentic scientific investigations and connect theoretical concepts to real-world applications. The study will involve a sample of middle school students who will participate in a series of outdoor fieldwork activities focused on various biology topics. Pre- and post-surveys will be administered to assess changes in students' attitudes towards biology, including their interest, motivation, and perceived relevance of the subject. Additionally, qualitative data will be collected through interviews and reflective journals to gain insights into students' experiences and perceptions of outdoor fieldwork.
