The rapid integration of digital art tools into senior-year art education curricula offers a promising avenue to enhance students’ creative expression and critical thinking, yet empirical evidence remains uneven across contexts. This study investigates how structured incorporation of digital tools—such as tablet-based drawing apps, vector graphics software, 3D modeling, and generative design platforms—affects creative output, problem-solving approaches, and reflective critique among final-year students in art education programs. Employing a mixed-methods design, the research combines quantitative measurements of creative fluency, originality, and idea generation with qualitative insights from student journals, studio critiques, and instructor observations over a full academic term. The quantitative strand uses a pretest–posttest control design with two cohorts an experimental group receiving a digitally enriched pedagogy and a control group following a traditional media-based curriculum.
