Exploring Sustainable Design Strategies for Urban Affordable Housing Developments

Project Abstract

This research project aims to explore sustainable design strategies for urban affordable housing developments, addressing the pressing need for environmentally conscious and economically viable solutions in the realm of urban housing. Urbanization and population growth have intensified the demand for affordable housing, leading to a range of challenges including environmental degradation, resource depletion, and social inequality. These themes serve as the foundation for the exploration of sustainable design strategies in the subsequent chapters. Chapter three outlines the research methodology employed in this study, which includes a combination of qualitative and quantitative approaches. The methodology encompasses site visits, interviews with stakeholders, surveys, data analysis, and simulation modeling to evaluate the effectiveness of sustainable design strategies in urban affordable housing developments.
