Effects of Different Feeding Strategies on Growth Performance of Broiler Chickens

Project Abstract

The aim of this research study was to investigate the effects of different feeding strategies on the growth performance of broiler chickens. The study was conducted over a period of 12 weeks, during which various feeding approaches were implemented and their impact on growth parameters such as body weight gain, feed conversion ratio, and mortality rate were evaluated. A total of 300 broiler chickens were divided into three groups, each receiving a different feeding strategy Group A received a commercial diet, Group B received a locally formulated diet, and Group C received a combination of commercial and locally formulated diets. The results of the study revealed significant differences in growth performance among the three groups. Broiler chickens in Group C, which received a combination of commercial and locally formulated diets, exhibited the highest body weight gain and the lowest feed conversion ratio compared to Groups A and B. Additionally, Group C had the lowest mortality rate, indicating better overall health and welfare of the broiler chickens. These findings suggest that a combination of commercial and locally formulated diets may be beneficial for optimizing the growth performance of broiler chickens. Furthermore, the study identified several factors that may influence the effectiveness of different feeding strategies, including nutrient composition, feed quality, and feeding management practices. The research highlights the importance of considering these factors when designing feeding programs for broiler chickens to achieve optimal growth performance and economic efficiency. In conclusion, the study provides valuable insights into the effects of different feeding strategies on the growth performance of broiler chickens. The findings contribute to the existing body of knowledge on poultry nutrition and offer practical recommendations for poultry farmers and stakeholders in the poultry industry. Further research is recommended to explore additional factors that may impact the efficacy of feeding strategies on broiler chicken growth performance.
