Effects of Different Feeding Strategies on Growth Performance of Broiler Chickens

Project Abstract

The aim of this research was to investigate the effects of different feeding strategies on the growth performance of broiler chickens. The study was conducted to address the need for optimizing feeding practices in poultry production to enhance growth and overall performance of broiler chickens. A total of 200 broiler chickens were randomly assigned to four different feeding groups Group A received a commercial feed, Group B received a high-protein feed, Group C received a low-protein feed, and Group D received a mixed feed. The growth performance parameters such as body weight gain, feed intake, feed conversion ratio, and mortality rate were monitored over a period of 8 weeks. The results revealed significant differences in growth performance among the four feeding groups. Broiler chickens in Group B, which received a high-protein feed, exhibited the highest body weight gain and the lowest feed conversion ratio compared to the other groups. In contrast, Group C, which received a low-protein feed, showed the lowest body weight gain and the highest feed conversion ratio. Group D, which received a mixed feed, demonstrated intermediate growth performance indicators. Additionally, mortality rates were higher in Group C compared to the other groups. The findings suggest that feeding strategies play a crucial role in influencing the growth performance of broiler chickens. Proper nutrition, including the balance of protein levels in the feed, is essential for achieving optimal growth and performance outcomes in broiler production. This research emphasizes the importance of selecting appropriate feeding strategies to enhance the growth potential of broiler chickens and optimize productivity in poultry farming. Overall, this study provides valuable insights into the impact of different feeding strategies on the growth performance of broiler chickens, highlighting the significance of nutrition management in poultry production. The results contribute to the existing body of knowledge on poultry nutrition and offer practical implications for improving feeding practices to maximize growth efficiency and profitability in broiler farming operations.
