Effects of Different Feeding Strategies on Growth Performance of Broiler Chickens

Project Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of different feeding strategies on the growth performance of broiler chickens. The poultry industry plays a significant role in meeting the global demand for animal protein, and maximizing growth performance in broiler chickens is crucial for economic sustainability and food security. In this research, various feeding strategies, including different feed formulations, feeding schedules, and supplements, were evaluated to determine their impact on the growth performance of broiler chickens. The study employed a randomized controlled trial design with a total of 200 broiler chickens divided into four treatment groups. Each treatment group received a different feeding strategy, and key growth performance indicators such as body weight gain, feed conversion ratio, and mortality rate were monitored throughout the study period. Additionally, blood samples were collected to assess physiological parameters related to growth and health. The results revealed significant differences in growth performance among the treatment groups. Broiler chickens fed with a high-protein diet showed the highest body weight gain and the lowest feed conversion ratio compared to other groups. Moreover, the inclusion of specific supplements in the feed led to improvements in overall growth performance and health indicators. However, certain feeding strategies were associated with higher mortality rates, highlighting the importance of balanced nutrition and careful formulation of feed rations. Overall, this study provides valuable insights into the effects of different feeding strategies on the growth performance of broiler chickens. The findings underscore the importance of optimizing feed formulations and management practices to maximize growth potential and ensure the sustainability of the poultry industry. Further research is warranted to explore additional factors influencing broiler chicken growth and to develop tailored feeding strategies for optimal performance and welfare.
