Effects of Different Feeding Strategies on Growth Performance of Broiler Chickens

Project Abstract

The aim of this research study was to investigate the effects of different feeding strategies on the growth performance of broiler chickens. Broiler chickens are commonly raised for meat production, and optimizing their growth performance is essential for the poultry industry. The study focused on comparing the growth performance of broiler chickens fed with different feeding strategies, including conventional commercial feeds, organic feeds, and custom-formulated feeds. The research methodology involved a randomized controlled trial where broiler chickens were divided into three groups based on the feeding strategy. Over a period of 8 weeks, the growth performance parameters such as body weight gain, feed conversion ratio, and mortality rate were monitored and recorded for each group. Additionally, blood samples were collected to assess the impact of feeding strategies on the health status of the broiler chickens. The findings of the study revealed significant differences in the growth performance of broiler chickens fed with different feeding strategies. Broiler chickens fed with custom-formulated feeds showed the highest body weight gain and the lowest feed conversion ratio compared to those fed with conventional commercial feeds and organic feeds. Moreover, the mortality rate was lower in the group fed with custom-formulated feeds, indicating better overall health and welfare of the broiler chickens. The research study provides valuable insights into the importance of choosing the right feeding strategy to optimize the growth performance of broiler chickens. Custom-formulated feeds tailored to the specific nutritional requirements of broiler chickens can lead to improved growth performance and overall productivity in poultry farming.
