Project Abstract

This study investigates the effects of various dietary supplements on the growth performance of broiler chickens, aiming to identify which supplements optimize growth rates, feed efficiency, and overall health. A total of 300 day-old broiler chicks were randomly assigned to five dietary treatment groups, each receiving different supplement regimens, including probiotic, prebiotic, enzyme additives, herbal extracts, and a control diet without supplements. The experimental period spanned six weeks, during which weekly data on feed intake, weight gain, and feed conversion ratio (FCR) were meticulously recorded. Additionally, carcass quality, mortality rate, and certain blood health parameters were analyzed at the conclusion of the trial to evaluate the health and productivity impact of each supplement. The experimental design was a completely randomized design (CRD), and data were statistically analyzed using ANOVA at a significance level of p<0.05 to determine the effects of dietary treatments. Results indicated that broilers fed with probiotic and enzymatic supplements demonstrated significantly improved weight gains and FCR compared to the control group, with the probiotic group showing a 15% increase in average daily gain over the control. The herbal extract group also showed notable improvements but to a lesser extent. Blood tests revealed enhanced immune responses and better gut health markers in supplemented groups relative to controls.
