Project Abstract

<p>Supply chain management plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient post-harvest handling and marketing of perishable horticultural crops. Poor supply chain practices lead to significant quantitative and qualitative losses, reducing incomes of farmers. This study aims to analyze existing supply chain systems for various fruits and vegetables in [region] and identify bottlenecks. Alternative supply chain models integrating latest post-harvest technologies, packaging, transportation and market linkage options will be evaluated. The study would facilitate adoption of efficient practices for reducing losses and improving profitability in horticulture production.<br><br><br></p>
