Project Abstract

<p><br>Integrated fish farming with crop production is a promising agro-ecological model that optimizes land and water use. However, lack of suitable equipment limits its adoption among smallholder farmers. This project aims to design multipurpose equipment for integrated fish-crop systems. Various components will be designed including fish ponds, water channels, harvesting equipment, etc. using locally available materials. The equipment will be tested on-farm for functional and economic viability. It is expected that the designed equipment will facilitate adoption of integrated fish-crop systems leading to increased productivity, profitability and sustainability of smallholder farms.<br><br><br></p>
