Project Abstract

<p><br>Micro-irrigation systems like drip and sprinkler irrigation are an efficient way of watering small backyard gardens and orchards. However, the commercially available micro-irrigation components are often costly for small-scale use. This project aims to develop low-cost micro-irrigation system designs using locally available and recycled materials. Various design configurations will be tested and evaluated for their effectiveness in delivering water uniformly to plants with minimum wastage. The developed systems will help small and marginal farmers as well as households in practicing kitchen gardening and water conservation.<br><br><br></p>
