Project Abstract

<p><br>Greenhouse technology has immense potential for year-round vegetable production and income generation for smallholder farmers. However, the high initial investment cost of commercial greenhouses limits their adoption. This project aims to develop a low-cost greenhouse structure using locally available and affordable materials. Various design options will be evaluated and an optimized prototype will be fabricated. Its performance will be tested by raising vegetable crops inside and analyzing various parameters like temperature, humidity, light intensity etc. A cost-benefit analysis will also be conducted to demonstrate the economic viability of the greenhouse. <br><br><br></p>
